2025 USPS Promotions & Incentives Calendar

It costs more than ever to send a piece of mail. In fact, postage is now the most expensive element of any direct mail campaign. But there are opportunities to save some money by doing something unique. Known as USPS Promotions & Incentives, the Postal Service encourages mailers to elevate their mail using new technology, unique textures, or different services.

And with savings up to six percent per piece (when combined with add-ons), the opportunity to save money is there—if you know how (and when) to take advantage of it.

Discount Amount and Promotion Information Overview

As we’ve already discussed in recent blogs, the 2025 Promotions, Incentives, & Discounts are one of the best ways to combat the rising cost of postage. But being able to take advantage of these cost savings opportunities requires planning, registration, and execution.

Official guidebooks for most of the promotions were released on August 30. We’ve linked to each below… and are working hard to translate these from government document to actionable insight.

  • Registration Period: November 20, 2024 – December 31, 2025

  • Active Period: A Maximum of Six Consecutive Months in 2025

  • Available Classes: First-Class Mail letters, cards, and flats; USPS Marketing Mail letters and flats.

USPS Guidebook: Integrated Technology

Tactile, Sensory, & Interactive

  • Discount: 4 Percent

  • Registration Period: December 15, 2024 – July 31, 2025

  • Active Period: February 1, 2025 – July 31, 2025

  • Available Classes: First-Class Mail letters, cards, and flats; USPS Marketing Mail letters and flats.

New in 2025: Continuous Contact

  • Discount: 3 Percent

  • Registration Period: February 15, 2025 – September 30, 2025

  • Active Period: April 1, 2025 – September 30, 2025

  • Available Class: USPS Marketing Mail letters and flats.

Reply Mail Intelligent Mail Barcode Accounting (IMbA)

  • Discount: 3 Percent OR 6 Percent

  • Registration Period: May 15, 2025 – December 31, 2025

  • Active Period: July 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025

  • Available Classes: First-Class Mail letters, cards, and flats; USPS Marketing Mail letters and flats.

First-Class Mail Advertising

  • Discount: 3 Percent

  • Registration Period: July 15, 2025 – December 31, 2025

  • Active Period: September 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025

  • Available Class: First-Class Mail letters, cards, and flats.


Add-On: Informed Delivery

  • Discount Amount: 1 Percent

  • Active Period: Through Life of the Promotion

  • Eligible Classes: First-Class Mail automation letters, cards, and flats and USPS Marketing Mail automation letters and flats.

Add-On: Sustainability

  • Discount Amount: 1 Percent

  • Active Period: Through Life of the Promotion
